SCALLY WAG

SPEYSIDE BLENDED MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

Inspired by a long line of Douglas Laing family Fox Terriers, Scallywag is a marriage of only Speyside Single Cask Single Malts, including those distilled at Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes. Matured in sweetly spiced sherry butts and vanilla’d bourbon hogsheads for a rich and zesty character.

Nose

A richly spiced character woven into delicious vanilla.

Palate

Detect layer on layer of sweet stewed fruits and dark chocolate fused with nutmeg and cinnamon, much of which can be attributed to years slumbering in Spanish Sherry butts.

Finish

Displays a burst of zesty orange with fresh ginger, cocoa and rich fruitcake.

ROCK ISLAND

BLENDED MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

Douglas Laing’s maritime Malt is an extraordinary encapsulation of the finest Single Cask Single Malts from Scotland’s esteemed Whisky Islands; including those distilled on Orkney, Arran, Jura and Islay. Rock Island offers a beautiful balance of complex flavours, revealing waves of salty, sweet, earthy and smoky notes!

Nose

Wave soaked rocks and a salty oceanic fresh influence.

Palate

Subtle, carrying soft and rather sweet peat paralleled with smoke, honey, damp ash, liquorice and late pepper.

Finish

All of what went before is neatly replicated in the moreish finish.

TIMOROUS BEASTIE

HIGHLAND BLENDED MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

The original Timorous Beastie, immortalised in Robert Burns’ famous Scots poem “To A Mouse”, was a timid little field mouse. Echoing our national bard’s wit, ours is most certainly not for the fainthearted! A marriage of only Highland Single Cask Single Malts, including those distilled at Strathearn, Glengoyne, Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Blair Athol distilleries, amongst others – he may be “Timorous by name” but he’s a BEASTIE by nature!

Nose

Very sweet as if sugar and syrup have been added to spiced autumnal fruit.

Palate

Opens in a spicy style with fructiferous notes of raisin and a sugary, fudgey character.

Finish

Subtle yet sweet with a real oaky flavour, hints of milky cereals and late meringue
